Appointed by the President-Elect with Board approval for a 2 year term, the first year serving as designate. Promotes professional and clinical role development for nephrology nurses through organized education meetings that enhance learning, networking, and socialization for the purpose of improving patient outcomes. Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate continuing education activities provided via conference, including the National Symposium and the Fall Meeting. (See ANNA website for detail about qualifications/requirements and role description, including time commitments and meeting expectations) Active member of ANNA for 4 years, prior current services as a committee member, Baccalaureate degree with MSN preferred; more than 4 years of practice in nephrology nursing, nephrology nursing certification preferred; not serving on a CE planning committee or another nephrology association or program event during appointment; demonstrates knowledge of broach perspective of current health care and professional nursing trends, experience in CE planning at a national level preferred. Knowledge of software and access to computer facilitated communication for E-mail and word processing.
