Programmatic - Teen Programming Volunteer (In-Person)
The Library needs 2-3 months of advance time to plan, schedule, and promote any approved programs. All volunteer applicants must complete our volunteer process.
This position is for teens (ages 15-18) who either lead their own library program(s) or assist with a teen-led library program(s) that can help others achieve academic success. That would include math, coding, robotics, debate, art, or any other subject. Please do not submit an application or sign up for this position unless informed to do so by Jessica Chung or Randall Studstill at the West Valley Branch Library. To submit a coding program proposal for consideration, please email Randall Studstill at randall.studstill@sjlibrary.org. For other program topics, you can e-mail Jessica Chung at jessica.chung@sjlibrary.org.
Completing an online orientation for in-person volunteering is required. For any teen volunteer applicants who are 18 years old or turn 18 while volunteering, completing a fingerprint background check by the Library will also be required at no cost to you. Thank you.
