Volunteer Job Description: After-School Tutor

Position Title: After-School Tutor

Location: TSA , 2424 Pratt St Omaha, NE 68111

Hours: 3 PM - 5 PM

Overview: We are seeking dedicated and compassionate volunteers to join our after-school tutoring program. As an after-school tutor, you will provide academic support and mentorship to students in grades K-12. Your role will be crucial in helping students improve their understanding of various subjects, develop study skills, and build confidence in their academic abilities.

Responsibilities:

· Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in varies subjects 

· Assist students with homework assignments and test preparation.

· Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.

· Collaborate with other tutors and staff to ensure a cohesive tutoring program.

· Attend training sessions and meetings as required.

Qualifications:

· Strong knowledge in the subjects you will be tutoring.

· Previous experience in tutoring or teaching is preferred but not required.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Must be reliable and committed to the tutoring schedule.
