Community Care Kitchen - Kitchen Assistant
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, cooking, and assembling meals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with other volunteers and staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen.
Qualifications:
- A passion for helping others and making a difference in the community.
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting.
- Best for volunteers 16 years old or older. Under 18 needs a guardian consent form.
