Volunteering at St Wilfrid’s Hospice
We're always looking to welcome new faces to our amazing volunteer team. If you have some time to spare and would like to make a difference in your local community we would love to hear from you.
Below you will find a list of our current volunteering opportunities, we have a wide variety of roles available and are happy to chat with you about any of them or about volunteering more generally, we can be contacted by email vsteam@stwhospice.org or please call 01323 434205, you can also pop in to see us at the Hospice 9am to 2pm - Monday to Friday, please ask for a member of the Voluntary Services Team at our Welcome Point.

We are looking for volunteers to help out at our 10th Starlight Stroll !!!"
Date & time of the event: Saturday 14th September 2023, 16:00 - 22.30
Suggested time commitment: 3-4 hours, various depending on the role
Location: Starting from Princes Park, Eastbourne, BN22 7AE
Details: This year marks 10 years of Starlight Stroll and we need your help to make it the biggest one ever!
Starlight Stroll is our traditional 5-mile walk, with a lovely chance to lay a special lantern in the Italian Gardens to remember a loved one who has died, or simply to reflect on the work of the hospice. As this year is the 10th anniversary, we also have a special edition 10-mile route for a bigger challenge!
The roles we need you for include but are not exclusive to Route Marshals, Registering Participants, T-shirt or Medal Handlers and more! If you would like to take part in this amazing and very special event, please apply and we will forward your application to our Fundraising Team who will talk you though all the details.

We are looking for individuals who can volunteer in the hospice for a short shift in the mornings to help set up the Living Well rooms.

Suggested Time Commitment: One hour a day to ready rooms for appointments from 9am onwards

We are searching for volunteers to help in our busy post room at our Donation Centre in Moy Avenue, helping to pack items for posting far and wide, using recycled and plastic free packaging.
Tasks include:

Time: Suggested four hourly slots

We are currently looking for a volunteer to design leaflets, posters, social media posts and booklets for the hospice, volunteering as part of our busy Communications Team
