Gift Shop Volunteer
By volunteering with Inova’s retail team you become part of something bigger. Your time, compassion and commitment help make a difference for patients and families every day by helping fund Inova’s programs and services. We couldn’t do what we do without you and your support!
Primary responsibilities include:
- Assisting customers in person and by phone
- Operating computerized point-of-sale system
- Processing cash and credit card transactions
- Taking and fulfilling phone orders
- Managing multiple customer needs and shop activities during the shift
Role requirements:
Volunteers must be comfortable working independently for the full shift, as scheduled breaks are not provided. This role may require standing or sitting for the duration of the shift. Volunteers should be comfortable using technology, communicating with customers and managing several tasks at once. Training on the point-of-sale system is provided.
Volunteer Shifts:
Monday - Friday: 10am-12:30pm
Monday - Friday: 12:30pm-4pm
