Event Volunteer

Role Overview:

Assisting the Park Ranger Team. Providing a presence in the park, assisting and helping visitors, assisting with stewarding events and being a friendly face in the park.   To report any problems, checking the condition of footpaths, railings and gates, dangerous trees, reporting incidents and observations back to the Park Rangers. This is a great opportunity to learn new skills and enjoy working with like-minded people in Green Flag Award Winning Parks.

The Role includes the following opportunities:

  • Assisting with the organisation and stewarding of events
  • Awareness raising of the local park environment
  • Guiding walks in greenspaces
  • Providing information to visitors to the park
  • Learning the history of the park and surrounding area
  • Working alongside the Friends groups
