Volunteer in Parks

Role Overview:

Assisting the parks team maintaining and developing areas of the outdoor landscape within Burnley and Padiham’s parks. This is a great opportunity to learn new skills and enjoy working with like-minded people in Green Flag Award Winning Parks.

The Role includes the following opportunities:

• Assisting with bedding displays in the Park
• Bulb planting
• Wildflower meadow creation
• Assisting with the general care of the park under supervision of the head gardener
• Weeding and watering
• Assisting with the care of plants and features in the park
• Plant propagation
• Permaculture in parks
