SPL - Teen Service Learning Program

   Learning Buddies

Service learning pairs real leadership and learning opportunities with community service. Teens have opportunities to tutor kids or plan service projects for the community.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Seattle Public Library is unable to provide in-person service learning programs this school year. Teen Services librarians will be offering virtual programs for teens at five Library branches beginning in January 2021: Ballard, High Point, Northeast, Southwest and West Seattle.

The librarian at the West Seattle Branch will also offer Learning Buddies sessions for teens to help kids learn math.

We will begin accepting applications for the service learning and Learning Buddies programs on January 2, 2021. To submit your application in January, please click on the link on the right side of this page.

You are welcome to contact Josie Watanabe, Student Success Program Manager, at studentsuccess@spl.org if you have questions. Thanks!
