The Billerica Neighbor Brigade Chapter has been very active for the last 5 plus years. We provide help in times of accident, illness or tragedy. As an example of our work, our network of volunteers regularly delivers meals and provides rides to medical appointments. We work closely with the food pantry to provide desserts at Thanksgiving, and have provided help at Christmas time to disadvantaged families in town.

The best part about our group is you helping out you when you can with what you can.

Our volunteers are our eyes and ears in the community and we would love to have you onboard helping, sharing our mission and letting us know about those who may need our help.

When you reach out and help some one in need you get back truly more than you give!!!

Neighbor Brigade establishes community-specific networks of volunteers that can be mobilized to help residents facing sudden crisis manage day-to-day tasks such as meal preparation, rides, and basic household chores. Our chapter is just one of 29 chapters helping their neighbors in crisis! To learn more about us and our other chapters, please visit our home page here

Chapter Leaders

Cathy Coneeny

Cathy has lived in Billerica her whole life and worked for the town for over 20 years. In addition to her work with the town, Cathy is connected to her community through the public school system and membership at St Theresa Parish. Cathy originally got involved with Neighbor Brigade because its mission so deeply connected with her own experience. Cathy lost her husband in an accident when her children were still young. Cathy was so appreciative of the outpouring of support she received from the Billerica community that she wanted to pay forward her gratitude by establishing a local Neighbor Brigade Chapter. ‘I can never repay each and every person who helped my family and myself so when I heard about the Neighbor Brigade I knew I had to get involved. This is my way to pay it forward and to also make my corner of the world just a little bit nicer.’
