Albuquerque Volunteer Opportunities - Intensive Case Management Mentorship
Become a mentor for a client or family in our Preferred Communities-Intensive Case Management Program. The program is designed to provide additional case management and support for clients with additional challenges towards self-sufficiency with a focus on mental, emotional & physical health and social isolation challenges.
ICM Mentorship is defined as a facilitated connection in which a community volunteer is intentionally matched with a specific client or household for a period of 3-6 months. The mentor’s primary function is to meet socially with the client(s) at least 1-2 hours/week, to provide companionship, practice English, as well as to support the client in navigating the local community, U.S. cultural norms, and any needs towards self-sufficiency. ICM Mentors will be required to attend an additional training prior to being matched with a mentee.
