Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme

Do you feel you might enjoy making a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of an older person in our community?

Could you make time for a regular visit to someone in an Aged Care Facility or their own home?

Are you 18 years of age or older?

By signing up to volunteer you will:

• make a friend
• reducing someone’s loneliness
• share ideas and stories with a like-minded person

Volunteers visit the older person in their home or residential aged care home, for approximately an hour a week or fortnight, at a time that suits both the volunteer and the person receiving aged care services.

Council provides training and support to ensure all our volunteers can confidently participate in their role.
