Driver Mentor Program (Hobart only)

Three people standing with a certificate with the quote " when someone passes their driving test they're just so happy they pass and you know it's gonna make a huge difference to their life when they are able to drive. It particularly helps with work, or going to the doctor, picking up kids from school, or driving late at night and not having to pay for an uber or something. And that gives you a real feeling of happiness and satisfaction."

In Australia getting a driving licence takes time, money and a lot of effort. The Migrant Resource Centre Tasmania (MRC Tas) Driving Program supports learners (and pre-learners) at each step so they can get a licence safely and legally.

The MRC Tas Driving Program is for people from refugee and migrant backgrounds in their first five years of settlement in Australia.

Volunteers support learners with on the road driving practice in dedicated learner vehicles.

The Driver Mentor program is available in the Glenorchy office only.
