Settlement and Youth Services (Hobart and Launceston)

MRC Tas Settlement Services equip clients with the skills and confidence needed to address their settlement needs and thrive in daily life. Services focus on social participation, economic wellbeing, independence, personal wellbeing and community connectedness. Services include information and referral, individual case support, community development, English and skill groups, citizenship support, employment assistance, and driving support.

Volunteers can support Settlement Services by:
- assisting with group programs
- assisting the employment programs
- being a driver mentor
- assisting with events
- Administration support
The Multicultural Youth Tasmania (MYT) program provides targeted services and projects to support young people aged up to 25 years from multicultural backgrounds to reach their potential and thrive as members of the Tasmanian community.
MYT also provides training, support and resources to ensure that the needs of multicultural youth are being met within mainstream services.
Volunteers can support MYT by:
- assisting with events and group activities
- assisting at youth drop-in (study, employment, fun) on a Wednesday afternoon from 2:30 to 5:00
