Emergency Medical Services - Provincial Medical First Responder Program

Welcome to the official launch of the Better Impact App for Provincial Medical First Responder Volunteers. We are grateful to have you on board as we launch this fantastic app, allowing you to easily upload and access all MFR registration requirements, communicate with the administration team, access the Medical First Responders Protocol Manual electronically and log your annual service hours.

Soon, you will also be able to complete online training requirements easily using the eLearning modules that will be available to all volunteers provincially.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority's Medical First Responders (MFR's) are locally trained volunteers who respond to emergency calls. The MFR’s are dedicated, reliable and trusted leaders/mentors who have accepted the responsibility of caring for neighbors and community members while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.

Medical First Responders will complete a 44-hour MFR Course to build skills and an understanding of processes and obligations. Course dates and locations are available based on community needs. SHA MFR registration requires all MFR's to complete an educational update every two years in order to maintain their certification.
