Sacramento Film + Media Volunteer
Importance of Position:
Learn how the film office operates, build connections with local filmmakers
Skills, qualifications or requirements for assignment:
Basic knowledge of the entertainment industry; enrolled in a film program; basic computer, email, and phone skills; learn quickly and solve problems effectively; ability to accept feedback
Duties and Responsibilities (List specific tasks to be done by the volunteer):
Assist the film office in permitting projects; provide excellent customer service; assist in providing location contact and jurisdiction information; attend monthly Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy Commission meetings; assist with social media, newsletters, and marketing campaigns
Training Provided:
One-on-one shadowing with film commissioner, PA Boot Camp training; on-set shadowing of production (if available)

Duration of assignment:
Summer 2022: May 31-July 8 or July 11-August 19
Hours Needed and Proposed Schedule:
20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, flexible schedule

New City Hall, 915 I Street, 3rd Floor, Sacramento, CA 95814
Benefits of Volunteering:
