Thank you for your passion for nature and your desire to make a difference. Volunteers have always played a vital role in our mission to protect Alberta’s lands and waters. Though our current volunteer program is on pause, your spirit of stewardship continues to inspire everything we do.

Volunteer Applications are Currently Closed

While we’re not accepting new volunteers at this time, our commitment to conservation remains strong—and so does our gratitude for your support. We encourage you to stay connected with us through our newsletter and social media, and we look forward to welcoming  new volunteers again in the future.

Support Conservation Through Giving

Even when hands-on opportunities are limited, your financial support can go further than you imagine. Private donations are the foundation of our work—fueling education, advocacy, and protection of Alberta’s most treasured landscapes. Every gift, no matter the size, helps us keep nature wild. If you’re able, please consider making a donation and becoming a champion for the wilderness.

Volunteer Impact: Real Stories, Real Change

Our volunteers have left lasting footprints on the landscape of conservation. Here are just a few ways they’ve made a difference:

  • Colleen and I have admired CPAWS's educational programming for many years. Seven years ago I leapt aboard! I travel around South-Eastern Alberta to deliver educational programming to young people from kindergarten to college. If we introduce kids to the great outdoors and wilderness, we will not need to worry about protecting it in the future. "
    — Jon, Conservation Educator

  • “The values and mission of CPAWS-SAB are in close alignment with my own. The chapter is doing vital work to help preserve our wild spaces at a time when development pressures are more intense than ever. I support CPAWS’ science-based approach to land management because I believe it is the best way to achieve lasting results. And, as it happens, the staff and supporters of this chapter are just a great bunch of people. ”
    Doug Board Member

  • "As a future grade school teacher, I believe in education’s power to inspire change. Supporting CPAWS SA’s programs allows me to help others connect with their environment, communities, and the need for conservation."
    - Fable, Conservation Educator

  • I joined CPAWS to contribute, in some small way, to an organization that is making a meaningful difference in our province. I am proud to be part of a team dedicated to advocating for protection of our public lands and waters."
    — Lana, Board Member

As a CPAWS Southern Alberta volunteer we want you to know the legacy of your contributions lives on. We’re deeply grateful to every individual who has shared their time, energy, and heart with us!
