Commemorative Event Volunteer

Commemorative Event Volunteer

This role is open to anyone who feels called to support grieving families, regardless of personal loss experience.

PAIL Network organizes two commemorative events each year to honour and remember babies who have died during pregnancy or infancy. These events are thoughtfully planned by PAIL Network, and volunteers across Ontario are invited to facilitate and promote these important days in their communities.

As an Event Volunteer in a hosting and welcoming role, you will be a warm and approachable presence at an in-person PAIL Network event. These gatherings are not support groups, but rather quiet, private, and intimate opportunities for families to come together and share in their grief with others who understand.

Your role is to help create a compassionate and inclusive atmosphere, ensuring that attendees feel seen, valued, and supported. You may assist with greeting guests, offering directions or guidance, and supporting the smooth flow of the event. Your presence helps set the tone for the day and reflects the care and connection at the heart of PAIL Network’s mission.
