Wellness Class Leaders
Wellness classes are scheduled in 6 to 10 week sessions around the community for seniors. These evidence based classes support seniors in aging well and living healthy lives independently. While some classes include light exercises, most are focused on providing seniors education about wellness.
Volunteer Class Leaders may choose to schedule their own classes and recruit seniors to sign up or have the Wellness Coordinator at Senior Services schedule the classes for them at local wellness centers.
We have five classes volunteers can become leaders for: Bingocize, Matter of Balance, Chronic Disease Self-Management, Chronic Pain Self-Management, and Diabetes Self-Management. You can learn more about these classes online at SSSEVA Wellness Classes
We ask volunteers to commit to teaching at least 1 class (each class is a 6-10 week commitment) each year. These classes can be scheduled Monday-Friday 10:00 am-4:00 pm.
