Telemundo Media Presenter
TELEMUNDO MEDIA PRESENTER – Position for anyone 18 years and older.
As a Telemundo Media Presenter you will represent the Wisconsin Humane Society on live television.
Objective
Create awareness of available animals at WHS shelters.
Share information on programs and services offered by WHS.
Duties
- Transport a featured animal to/from the TV station.
- Present the animal and a topic in fluent Spanish during a 2–3-minute segment.
Shift Time/Location
Tuesdays 10:30am-12:30pm – Milwaukee Campus and Telemundo Studio. Telemundo/CBS Studio address: 809 S. 60th Street Milwaukee, WI 53214
Skills Needed
- Due to the 24/7, fast-paced nature of live television, it is imperative that presenters are reliable, punctual, and prepared.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Confidence in public speaking skills.
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Required Training
- Watch general volunteer informational video.
- Apply for position.
- Meet & greet.
- Complete online & animal handling training videos.
- In person animal handling training.
- Training for media presenter position.
Commitment/Age Requirement
We ask for presenters to commit to at least one segment each month for a minimum of 6 months. Volunteers must be bilingual, fluent in Spanish, and at least 18 years old with a reliable vehicle.
