Community Events - Coats For Kids - Distribution
Coats For Kids is a partnership between KCRG, our Show You Care sponsors, and area outreach groups to collect and distribute new and gently used coats each fall. Coats in sizes infant through adult are donated at locations throughout Eastern Iowa, collected, cleaned, and distributed to the children who need them. The Salvation Army provides a location for the distribution of the coats.
Volunteers are needed on Thursday, November 7 to provide general assistance on coat distribution day. This includes assisting parents/guardians with finding coats and bagging them. After the coats are distributed, the volunteers will take down the tables and the dividing curtains.
