Community Events - Coats For Kids - Sorting
Coats For Kids is a partnership between KCRG, our Show You Care sponsors, and area outreach groups to collect and distribute new and gently used coats each fall. Coats in sizes infant through adult are donated at locations throughout Eastern Iowa, collected, cleaned, and distributed to the children who need them. The Salvation Army provides a location for the distribution of the coats.
Volunteers are needed on Wednesday, October 25th to help set up the event the day before distribution. Volunteers will be required to sort, help clean, and organize the coats here at the Salvation Army.
The schedule says 9am-12pm, but we will go until done. It may be earlier than noon, it may be later. Volunteers will be on their feet the whole time. Some lifting will be involved.
The leader for this activity is Susanne Hoppes. If you have any questions about volunteering please contact Jenna Salzbrenner - Volunteer Manager at 319-364-9131 or email@example.com.
- How much can you lift comfortably? Must be at least 20 lbs
