Good Karma Bikes is seeking a creative and strategic volunteer to lead our marketing and communications efforts. This role is perfect for someone passionate about storytelling and community engagement who wants to amplify our mission of providing affordable transportation through bicycle repair and reuse.

Key Responsibilities:

Social media management: Creating engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms, sharing success stories and volunteer spotlights, promoting workshops and events, and building online community around our mission.

Content creation: Developing compelling written content for newsletters, website updates, blog posts, and promotional materials that showcase program impact and connect with diverse community audiences.

Brand storytelling: Crafting narratives that highlight how bicycles transform lives in our community, documenting volunteer experiences, and communicating the environmental and social benefits of our work.

Event promotion: Marketing workshops, volunteer orientations, community events, and fundraising activities through multiple channels to maximize participation and community awareness.

Community outreach: Developing marketing strategies to reach underserved populations who could benefit from our services, creating culturally relevant messaging, and building partnerships with community organizations.

Digital marketing: Managing email campaigns, updating website content, analyzing engagement metrics, and implementing strategies to expand our reach and effectiveness in connecting with community members.

Visual communications: Creating graphics, flyers, and promotional materials that reflect our welcoming, inclusive brand and effectively communicate program information to diverse audiences.

Qualifications: Experience with social media platforms and digital marketing tools, strong writing and visual design skills, understanding of nonprofit communications, and passion for community-focused messaging. Photography skills and bilingual capabilities are valuable additions.
