Felicita County Park - LOVESD: Felicita Creek Cleanup & Habitat Restoration Day

Calling all nature lovers, weekend warriors, and eco-heroes! Join San Diego County Parks for a high-energy, feel-good day of cleaning up one of our most beautiful local treasures, Felicita Creek at Felicita County Park. FelicitaCreek is a vital waterway right in our backyard and it needs your help!

We are teaming up to:

  • Remove and SORT litter, including plastics, Styrofoam, bottle caps, even the occasional lost toy ball, while identifying recyclables and green waste to celebrate a win for the environment.
  • Remove invasive plant species, including small invasive palms, to make way for healthy, native species to thrive.

Why It Matters:
Cleaning creeks improves water quality, protects wildlife habitat, reduces flood risk, and enhances the natural beauty of our local parks. Plus, it keeps pollutants from reaching the Pacific Ocean and helps preserve our coastlines.

When and Where will we meet?

  • Date/Time: Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 10 a.m.
  • Location: 742 Clarence Lane, Escondido, CA 92029

What to Bring:

  • Closed-toed shoes
  • Sun protection (hat, sunscreen)
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Dress in layers (it may start cool and warm up)
