Mission & Vision of the Extension Master Gardener (EMG) Program:

The Mission of the Extension Master Gardener Program is: Sharing Knowledge. Empowering Communities.

 The Vision of our program is: To be the Virginia Cooperative Extension volunteer organization extending horticultural and environmental outreach across the Commonwealth.

The purposes of the Goochland/Powhatan Master Garden Association (GPMGA) is:

1. Provide educational services to the Goochland and Powhatan Counties to support good horticultural and environmental stewardship practices in accordance with policies set by Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) and its Master Gardener Program.
2. Foster communication, education, volunteerism, leadership development and fellowship among its members.
3. Support the Goochland and Powhatan VCE staff.
