Volunteer Opportunities at Family Life Centre
Kitchen Helper

On Wednesdays, we have our Ladies' Day. The kitchen helper position provides food for our guests with a smile. The helper assists the cook in preparing meals for our street guests and other volunteers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Food preparations
- Serve food
- Keep counter surfaces clean
- Sweep and mop the kitchen

Bible study instructor/helper

The Bible Study Instructor position is a major part of the Family Ministry program. The women in the community attend bible studies on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This is a great opportunity for someone to lead an engaging and interactive study that promotes spiritual growth and development.
We also have a bible study for volunteers on Wednesday mornings.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed lesson plans
- Use a variety of methods to create an engaging classroom
- Take a record of resident attendance
- Assist residents with any questions they may have

Kids club helper

We offer an after-school program for children in the community where we serve snacks, play games, and have a Bible lesson together. The children love to have fun and having high energy is key in this support role.

- Pray with the children
- Help with set up
- Lead games
- Serve snacks
- Clean up after children leave

Ladies Day Ministry Helper

Every Wednesday, we have as many as 70 ladies come by the building for a program that starts in the morning and ends in the early afternoon. This is a great opportunity for volunteers who love to connect with and encourage other women in the Lord. The day starts at 9 AM with a Bible study for volunteers, volunteers then move to their stations of service, and lunch is served for both guests and volunteers.

- Pray with the guests that attend the program
- Sort clothing
- Assemble food hampers
- Serve lunch
- Connect with guests
- Help with child care
- Clean up after guests leave
