EMERGENCY SOCIAL SERVICES (ESS)

The Salvation Army Emergency Social Services Program bridges a gap for families and individuals by meeting their emergency and basic needs while they are working through their temporary financial crisis.

After assessing clients’ needs, Salvation Army caseworkers provide and assistance package to help clients during temporary setbacks. Part of that package may include referrals to other agencies, which have forged partnerships with The Salvation Army.

Services, based upon available funding, include assistance with mortgage/rent payments, utilities, clothing, groceries/meals, disaster recovery, funeral expenses, furniture, prescriptions and spiritual counseling.

OFFICE / ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

The Salvation Army corps community center is amazingly busy throughout the year – especially around the holidays and times of local disaster. Volunteers are needed to help our front desk staff answer phones, greet clients and assist in light clerical duties. Outgoing personality and the ability to handle customers needed. You must be at least 16 years of age to volunteer. Training is provided.
