By volunteering at the Children's Aid Society of the District of Thunder Bay...
YOU are making a difference in children's lives!
How we’re responding to COVID-19 (coronavirus):
We find ourselves in an unprecedented situation that is impacting on the way our staff, volunteers and service users - work, give, and receive support from one another.
After carefully considering the World Health Organization, Public Health Agency of Canada, Ontario Public Health, The Ministry of Children and Youth Services and the Thunder Bay District Health Unit, we’ve taken a sensible and practical approach to ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers and service users.
As a result we’ve made a number of changes to key volunteering roles. These changes are now with immediate effect. No direct volunteer service positions are occurring at this time. The Children's Aid Society will continue to virtually recruit, onboard and screen volunteers for the positions we are presently providing virtually or contactless:
Contactless Driver, Virtual Tutor, Virtual or Contactless Recreation Buddy, Special Friend and Parent Aide.
We will be continuing to asses our volunteers roles on a regular basis as the current situation changes; as do the needs of the children and families we serve. During these time of uncertainty, feel free to contact me at the Volunteer Program. I am available to discuss any questions or concerns you may have during our business hours, Mon-Fri, 9:00am - 5:00pm!

In the mean time, stay safe and well.
