TRAIL CARE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 

 

WINTER TRAIL MAINTENANCE 

This project will work with Alberta Parks staff to do brushing and limbing of winter snowshoe and nordic ski trails on various trails in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park. The level of work will be moderate. We’ll be using hand tools (long handled pruners and hand saws), as well as chucking and dragging the cut material into the forest. A good pair of high winter boots is needed. Snowshoes are recommended.

Dates & Trails:

Wednesday April 5 - Penstock Loop (Trail info)

Meeting time:9:30 am (work day: 9:30 am-3:30 pm) 

 

Meeting location & What to Bring: Will be confirmed in reminder email, sent day prior to registered volunteers. 

 

REMINDER:Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required to park your vehicle at provincial park and public lands sites in Kananaskis and the Bow Valley.  

 

Volunteer Agreement Form: You will need to fill out this volunteer agreement waiver prior to working on a trail care event. The form will be valid until March 31, 2024. To accelerate the paperwork process, please visit the link above to fill out this form ASAP prior to the trail day.
