TRAIL CARE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
FORKS CAMPGROUND AND TRAIL WORK
This project will work out at the Forks campground (Kananaskis Lakes area) with Alberta Parks trails staff to move a large pile of firewood about 100m (with help of ATV/trailer and a power wheelbarrow), working with hand tools on some finishing touches on a new section of trail, and some reclamation work. This activity is suited to volunteers comfortable with physically challenging work, including access to the project (see note below).
IMPORTANT NOTE: access to this project will be via bike. Volunteers must be competent riding, and for some sections walking, an e-mountain bike on singletrack trail (8km, approx. 1.25 hrs each way). FKC will provide e-bikes, volunteers must provide their own helmet as well as carry their own backpack with clothes, food, water, etc. for the day.

Meeting location & What to Bring: Will be confirmed in reminder email, sent day prior to registered volunteers.
REMINDER: a Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required to park your vehicle at provincial park and public lands sites in Kananaskis and the Bow Valley.
Volunteer Agreement Form: You will need to fill out this volunteer agreement waiver prior to working on a trail care event. The form will be valid until March 31, 2024. To accelerate the paperwork process, please visit the link above to fill out this form ASAP prior to the trail day.
