VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 

 

Elbow River Watershed Restoration Work

FKC is excited to be partnering with the Elbow River Watershed Partnership, along with additional volunteers from Cows and Fish and Bragg Creek Trails, to offer a volunteer day in the Elbow Valley focused on watershed stewardship.

This is a light/moderate duty project. We will be doing riparian restoration work, planting native plants near the first bridge over Ranger Creek, dispersing woody debris, and decommissioning a non-designated trail along Elbow trail.

REMINDER: a Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required to park your vehicle at provincial park and public lands sites in Kananaskis and the Bow Valley.  

 

Volunteer Agreement Form: You will need to fill out this volunteer agreement waiver prior to working on a trail care event. Please visit the link above to fill out this form ASAP prior to the trail day. 

 

HOW TO SIGN UP 

  • 6 spots are available for this activity. To attend this trail day volunteers must sign up 48 hours before the start. Volunteers who turn up on the day and are not on the list of attendees will not be able to attend. 
  • If you are an existing volunteer, login to your profile (top right of this page); once you're signed in, scroll down to the bottom of this page and look for the SIGN UP button for the activity and date you'd like to volunteer for.
  • If you're new to volunteering with FKC, you'll first need to fill out a volunteer application.
  • Sign up closes at 9:45AM on Wednesday June 5th. Confirmed sign-ups will receive a reminder email with additional information on what to bring and meeting time/place.
