TRAIL CARE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

HIGH ROCKIES TRAIL - GENERAL MAINTENANCE

This project will work on several sections of the High Rockies trail over multiple dates. Types of work will vary depending on the section and could include:

  • general trail condition assessment & trail sweeps
  • small to medium-sized tread repairs to fix drainage issues and overall tread condition
  • brushing work to improve sightlines
  • clearing bridge decks
  • removal of deadfall
  • removing rocks/boulders from trail surface
  • inventory and/or installation of trail signage
NOTE: dates shown in red indicate projects where we will be using E-mountain bikes. For these 'Bike' project dates, volunteers must be competent in riding an E-mountain bike while carrying a pack on off-road terrain including dirt roads and trails. FKC has a limited number of bikes available for volunteer use; if you have your own e-mountain bike that you wish to use, please contact our program coordinator coordinator@kananaskis.org.
