The Common Good Thrift Store

Collage of merchandise at the Common Good

The Common Good Thrift and Consignment is a non-profit, volunteer-run thrift store designed to raise funds for ECM’s community programs, such as our healthcare center One Hope Centro de Vida, which offers low-cost, holistic healthcare to uninsured patients.

The Common Good is  social enterprise, which is the blending of for-profit and non-profit sectors, and using business to pursue a social good.

We have two main volunteer roles at The Common Good:

  • Cashiers greet customers, ring up purchases, and help keep merchandise displays and store premises clean and visually appealing
  • Sorters/Pricers receive incoming donations, sort them according to category and quality, price merchandise, and keep the merchandise stock room neat and organized

Right now, we especially need help Thursdays and Fridays from 1-5 pm!
