Walk for Animals - San Diego - Walk for Animals - San Diego: Walk Community Marketing Ambassadors (Pre-Event Activity)

Walk Community Marketing Ambassadors

One of the best ways to promote the Walk for Animals is to distribute event materials (posters and postcards) throughout the community, particularly in dog-friendly locations such as parks, pet stores and coffee shops.

Duties: This Walk Community Ambassador role involves distribution of event materials in an assigned location. We will provide the materials, suggested talking points, and assign you a location with some suggested businesses. If you're willing to take on additional areas, great!

Timing: Flexible! This is an offsite volunteer opportunity. All you need to do is pick up the materials from our campus and then distribute as soon as you can. Then, you'll simply report back to our Events team to let them know how it went.

Training: No training needed! But if you have questions, our Events team is here to support you!

Dress Code: You will be representing San Diego Humane Society to the community, so for current or previous volunteers, we ask that you wear your blue volunteer t-shirt (if you have a volunteer t-shirt from a previous Walk for Animals, even better!). If are a community member and/or do not have a volunteer shirt, we simply ask that you appear presentable and professional.

To sign up: Email starnate-nguyen@sdhumane.org and you will be put in touch with our Events team

To log hours: Email volunteercenter@sdhumane.org with your total number of hours spent on this activity and we will add it to your profile and/or generate an hours verification letter for you, if needed.
