📚 Become a Volunteer Tutor with Each One Teach One!

Make a difference—one learner at a time.

Do you have a heart for helping others and a passion for education? At Each One Teach One San Antonio, our volunteer tutors are the heart of our mission to improve adult literacy across our community.

As a tutor, you'll be paired with adult learners who are working toward life-changing goals like reading to their children, passing the GED, or learning English for the first time. You don’t need to be a teacher or have special credentials—just patience, commitment, and a desire to make a real impact.

✨ What You'll Do:

  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with adult learners

  • Support students in reading, writing, basic math, ESL, or GED prep

  • Use provided materials and receive training from EOTO staff

  • Meet regularly with your learner—flexible hours based on your availability

  • Encourage, motivate, and celebrate progress together!

🕒 Time Commitment:

  • 1 to 2 hours per week

  • Minimum 3-month commitment preferred

  • In-person at one of our San Antonio locations
