Community Gardens
The Conservancy manages three community vegetable gardens throughout the City of Charleston. All three gardens have regular group gardening sessions called 'Gather & Garden,' where you can work alongside Conservancy staff and fellow volunteers to learn about vegetable gardening. All of our produce is donated to local community partners here in the Lowcountry.
- Tuesday mornings at 9am at Magnolia Community Garden in West Ashley
- Wednesday mornings at 9am at Corrine Jones Community Garden in Downtown Charleston
- Friday mornings, and select evenings, at 9am at Medway Community Garden on James Island
Our Magnolia and Medway Community Gardens are also home to critical pollinator landscape, and we have volunteer opportunities associated with those as well, available on Saturday mornings seasonally throughout the year.
Medway Community Garden also has a cut-flower garden, with volunteer opportunities on Wednesday mornings at 7am. Our next training is Wednesday, September 20 at 7am.
