Community Gardens - Harvest Helper Training

Volunteers will be a part of a harvest helper training in order to learn how to properly harvest, water, and care for the cut flowers at Medway Community Garden. Upon completion, volunteers will have access to sign up for the weekly harvest helper shifts that will take place through November.

The fall harvest helper training will be on Wednesday, September 20 from 7-8am at Medway Community Garden, located at 2069 Medway Rd.

Once trained, volunteers will have the opportunity to sign up for weekly shifts to harvest and water the flowers at Medway. Volunteers are welcome to bring home a bouquet of their own as well. 💐

These bouquets are donated to local community partners such as Postpartum Charleston's Beyond Delivery Program, My Sisters House, Carter Mae Senior Living Home, and the Charleston County Public Library's Free & Fresh Fridge Program.  A portion of these bouquets are sold through our weekly Flower Share program to help fund the continuation of the donations.

Weekly shifts will take place Wednesdays from 7-8am.
