Volunteer Opportunities

Casino Fundraiser

Join us for our biggest fundraiser of the year!!

Location: Pure Casino (1420 Meridian Rd NE, Calgary, AB T2A 2N9)

We need approximately 40 volunteers to make this event a success, so please help us out!!

You can sign up for more than one shift, but you MUST do the same job each time. For example, you can work Tuesday as a cashier, and if you want to work Wednesday as well, you must be cashier again.

This is a large event, and we need many volunteers, so please invite your friends and family to sign up as well.

There is no experience required for any these roles - we are advised by great casino advisors on site.

If you are able to be added as a backup for any of the roles, please add yourself in the sign up!

Mission Statement

The Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) of Alberta is an animal rescue organization helping dogs and cats in Alberta.

Founded in 1995, The Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) of Alberta is committed to improving the lives of stray and abandoned animals through partnerships with communities and animal welfare organizations, providing medical care, education, resources, and support to prevent pet overpopulation and advance animal welfare.

Some of the ways we do this are by:

  • Placing animals for adoption in loving, caring, stable and lifelong homes
Arranging temporary foster homes,  including providing medical interventions to animals in need of serious medical care
  • Vaccinating, de-worming, and spaying/neutering animals prior to adoption
  • Providing spay/neuter and educational programs to residents of communities with limited resources
  • Practicing and promoting reward-based training techniques for dogs
