The Opportunity |
|
|
The APEGA Peace Region Branch is hosting its annual APEGA Science Olympics event in Grande Prairie on June 13th, 2026 at Northwestern Polytechnic (10726 106 Avenue). APEGA Science Olympics is an interactive, interschool engineering, and geoscience challenge open to students in grades 1-12. Teams compete in a series of application and problem-solving challenges designed to promote teamwork, creative thinking, and fun in engineering and geoscience.
Event Volunteers help with tasks including but not limited to: signing in students, setting up project material, answering student questions, judging students on skills demonstrated and challenge criteria met, and cleaning up project material.

APEGA’s Science Olympics events are a vital piece of inspiring the next generation of professional engineers, geoscientist and for introducing students to the exciting possibilities of a career in STEM. These events are a great opportunity to promote your profession in the community. By participating in the APEGA Science Olympics, volunteers challenge students to address real-world problems that require innovative solutions.
