Being a part of our wonderful team, your contribution can go a long way at our Ronald McDonald House Victoria & Tasmania Houses and Family Rooms supporting many families in need.

We have a variety of ways in which you can help including helping to keep our Houses and Family Rooms clean and well stocked, helping with administration to driving our shuttle bus. We also have volunteers running arts and craft sessions and baking up a treat for the families staying with us. 

Who are you?

Aside from a fun, energetic, passionate human - we are looking for someone who is inspired by our mission and actively wants to contribute to the values held by Ronald McDonald House Victoria & Tasmania.

Ideally you'll have:

• Excellent engagement skills to be able to chat with our families
• A "can-do" / positive attitude to brighten peoples' lives
• The availability to commit to a 3-4 hour shift per month for a minimum of 6 months service

Compliance and requirements:

Ronald McDonald House Victoria & Tasmania will cover the cost for compliance checks

• Valid Working With Children (VIC) Working With Vulnerable People (TAS) - or willing to obtain one
• Clear Police Criminal Check 
• Agreement to Ronald McDonald House Victoria & Tasmania Policies and Procedures
• Be over 18 or over 26 for the shuttle bus 
• Valid drivers licence -shuttle bus only

We do not sign off student placements until 6 months service has been completed.

Please note that to volunteer in one of our Ronald McDonald House Victoria & Tasmania Family Rooms there is additional compliance required. This is determined by the hospital that the room is situated within and will include immunisations.
