Wheels at Wanaka is a new, biennial vintage vehicle and machine show, rotating every odd year with Warbirds Over Wanaka. We’re family friendly, unique to the South Island and for the first time in Wanaka, we’ll be bringing together four normally separate shows being Vintage & Classic Cars, Trucks, Bikes, all sorts of Machines (Tractors, Earthmoving, Steam).
Wheels at Wanaka’s mission is to “Promote the preservation, advancement, education and knowledge of New Zealand’s Transport, Farming, Earthmoving machinery and Heritage.”
As a charitable trust we are proud to support the fundraising efforts of the Wanaka Coast Guard and West Otago Vintage Club. Along with Wanaka Rotary, we are thankful for their support as event partners and our main Volunteer crew.

We’ve roles in the weeks leading up to the event. But our key dates are:
Each volunteer will receive a Wheels at Wanaka cap, a High Viz Vest, a two-day pass to the show. We’ll also provide you with shelter, food and drink whilst you’re onsite. Onsite safety and how to briefings - and training where required.
