SOCIAL MEDIA VOLUNTEER

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports to: Marketing Director

Summary/Objective

 To help establish and promote Long Beach Area Veterans Collaborative to our partners and the public regarding our current activities, accomplishments and services.

  

Time Commitment

2 -5 hours per week.

 

Essential Functions

  1. Create and execute a social media plan
  2. Recommend and work with the most relevant platforms for Long Beach Area Veterans Collaborative
  3. Survey staff and other volunteers for input
  4. Work with videographer to produce videos as needed.

 

Competencies

  1. Knowledge of a variety of current social media platforms
  2. Clear, confident communication abilities
  3. Ability to make decisions as to relevance of postings
  4. Effective time-management skills

Preferred qualifications

Preferred Experience

  1. Keen understanding of how to craft effective social media strategies
  2. Strong familiarity with computers, email clients, and project management software
  3. Experience with social media tools
