Maintenance of Better Impact Software Intern
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reports to: Volunteer Coordinator
Summary/Objective
In order to maintain a smooth-running volunteer management system, a current set of volunteers, applicants and data are essential. Long Beach Area Veterans Collaborative utilizes Better Impact for its volunteer management software.
Time Commitment
5 – 10 hours per week.
Essential Functions
- Learn how to use Better Impact on both the volunteer and administrative sides, utilizing online training and working with the coordinator.
- Respond to requests from Volunteer Coordinator to add/change/delete activities (jobs), maintain a clean volunteer database.
- Assist in creating and maintaining email templates, applications and other internal functions to keep the system clean.
- Occasionally speak with volunteers as requested
Competencies
- Technical acumen and attention to detail are essential.
- Ability to communicate with resources if needed.
- Be proficient in the operation of the database and software. (training will be given)
Preferred Experience
- Working with a volunteer management system in some capacity or with some application software that requires configuring.
- Work independently in a virtual environment.
- Be proficient in communications with clients or as a support person.
