Mercer Botanic Center
The Mercer Botanic Center is seeking volunteers with a strong interest in plants who are detail-oriented, possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office for online research, are self-starters, and can collaborate in teams. Opportunity for those with Access knowledge to work on plant database.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Herbarium database entry
- Herbarium restoration
- Sign engraver (training involved so a time commitment will be required)
- Seed preservation
- Garden inventory
- Endangered species gardener
- Prairie Dawn Preserve volunteer
- Conservation nursery assistant
The Mercer Botanic Center is located about a 2-3 minute drive away from the main garden entrance.
