Service Learning Students
Activity Summary:
Various opportunities are available for Service Learning students including:
- Assisting in the food pantry
- Helping unload food delivery truck
- Assisting with holiday programs (various days/dates/times beginning in October 2017)
Qualifications:
- 18 years or older
- Passion for helping
- Must be able to work well with others
- Must be able to pass a background check and complete The Salvation Army's Safe From Harm training
Policies:
Volunteers will need pass an initial screening process and pass a background check. Once the volunteer has passed, they will need to complete our Safe from Harm online training within 90 days of starting.
Alcohol, drugs and smoking are not permitted at any Salvation Army Facilities or volunteer site.
Clothing must be respectful as you will be representing The Salvation Army. Pants and shirts must cover the waistband. Tank tops, undershirts, halter tops, crop tops, spaghetti straps and strapless tops are not permitted. Shirts with print are not to be offensive. Transparent, tight or form fitting clothes are not permitted. Skirt/dresses must not be worn more than two inches above the knee.
