The benefit to Make-A-Wish^® will be a $1 donation for each Walmart shopper who watches the 1-minute  Straight Talk Wireless/TracFone demonstration and signs his or her first name indicating the completion of the demonstration. The minimum guarantee to our chapter is $50,000 with a maximum donation of $100,000 equaling 20 wishes! 

Brief Description of Organization and Event:

Under its “One Minute. One Million.” initiative, no-contract cell phone leader Straight Talk Wireless® will donate up to $1 million to Make-A-Wish®.  Straight Talk Wireless will donate $1 for every shopper who visits a participating Walmart store and takes a one-minute Straight Talk Wireless demonstration of an LG Android smartphone.  

This effort brings together three leaders in their fields:   Make-A-Wish, the nation’s premier wish-granting organization for children, and Straight Talk Wireless, a brand of TracFone Wireless, Inc., America’s largest no-contract cell phone provider, and Walmart, America’s top retailer.   

Volunteer Responsibilities:

Volunteers will promote the events each Saturday by greeting shoppers just outside the entrance to the Walmart store and letting them know about the demonstration taking place inside, near the cash registers or the Wireless Center.

Volunteer Dress Code:

All materials will be provided by Straight Talk representative at Walmart location. Comfortable shoes and khaki bottoms (pants, shorts of a reasonable length, skirt, capris, etc.). No flip flops.

Minimum Volunteer Age: 16 years old
