Farm and Garden - Farm & Garden Workday
SELT is in the exciting process of building a small educational farm to support our All-Terrain Learning AdventureS (ATLAS) program, a nature-based education initiative designed to connect children in underserved school districts to the beauty of the natural world through wild play.
Additionally, the campus gardens here at Burley Farms will need tending to during the growing season. Since we moved to Burley Farms in 2022, volunteers have been managing our campus pollinator gardens and ornamental planting and have kept the campus looking sharp by weeding, watering, mulching, and more...
This year, we're combining our efforts of the ATLAS crew with our Garden crew. Sign up for one, all, or any of our Farm & Garden workdays and get outside with SELT!
Farm & Garden workdays will take place on Tuesday mornings, from 9-noon. The first 2025 session will be on Tuesday, April 1st (and no, we're not fooling you.)
ALL SKILL LEVELS ARE WELCOME!
Projects will include:

Installing shade for the covered classroom
