Jan 9, Feb 13, Mar 13

9:30 AM – 12:00 PM (event runs 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM)

Birch Ridge Community Forest, New Durham

Meet us at Birch Ridge Community Forest for a kid-led nature exploration as part of our Forest Friday series. This series will be led by nature-based educators Karly Wilcox and Sara Deserres from Four Winds Nature Institute.  We will offer supervised kid-led adventure and unstructured outdoor play for kids aged 0-5 and their guardians. This series will take place rain, snow, or shine – be sure to dress appropriately for the weather, you’ll want to be comfortable being still, muddy, or snow covered. The dates of the Winter Session of Forest Fridays at Birch Ridge Community Forest will be 1/9, 2/13, and 3/13.

This series is intended for kids aged 0-5 and their guardians.

GOATs Role: Show up 30 minutes prior to the start of the event and help with attendance, parking, and donation collection. Make sure all attendees have the proper attire, carry a basic first aid kit with you, and help people back to their cars if needed. Help arrange pick up of GOAT supplies from the GOAT refill station before the trip, if necessary. Return the attendance sheet to Derrick via email or drop off.

Child safety is of the utmost importance. SELT requires that all volunteers who sign up to work with children must complete a comprehensive background check before they volunteer. The background checks will be paid for by SELT and you will receive an email with instructions to complete the check before your volunteer date.
