Join us for a fun and interactive orienteering introduction geared toward 9- to 13-year-old children led by SELT Volunteer Dennis Garnham. There will be 2 courses set up, one in the open and one along the edge of the woods. The woods course will be more challenging, so everyone will start in the open course. We will not use a compass or map but instead will use diagrams with images on them to help participants learn to orient the diagram and spatial awareness as they navigate.
This event is intended for kids aged 9 to 13 with their guardians.
GOATs Role: Show up 30 minutes prior to the start of the event and help with attendance, parking, donation collection. GOATs will assist Dennis along with parents and their children as needed.
