Volunteer for Pet Food Express
Must be 18 or older to volunteer by yourself.
Fixed schedule.
Volunteers are needed to help take care of our cats at Pet Food Express (1152 Blossom Hill Rd San Jose, CA 95118). This includes cleaning cages/litter boxes and feeding cats at this adoption site. Other duties include wiping out cages with cleaner, changing bedding, and giving cats free time outside their cages.
Shifts usually take 2 hours, but the timing is strict: 9-11AM and 5-7PM. Must be on time and must stay entire time.
While caring for the cats, the public is also able to adopt cats. This also requires volunteers to screen potential adopters, willing to say "no" to unqualified adopters, who are familiar with cats, have excellent verbal communication skills, and are good listeners.
Training is provided.
